On Jan. 19, the Zonta Club of Austin helped make a difference in Austin.

The club members became part of the solution to stop local and world hunger by partnering with the humanitarian food organization Real Hope for the Hungry.

Zonta packaged 3,024 meals that will be delivered to hungry families, providing fully nutritious meals to under-nourished and starving children locally in the US.

Every six seconds a child dies from starvation or hunger related diseases. One out of every 10 people in Minnesota doesn’t have access to enough food.

Zonta donates funds to purchase the needed supplies and materials, as well as providing the volunteers to actually measure, mix and package the meals that will change the lives of many.
