The Southland girls basketball team lost 59-35 at Plainview-Elgin-Millville (18-1 overall, 13-0 Three Rivers) Thursday.

The Rebels (7-11 overall, 7-8 Three Rivers) outscored PEM 17-16 in the second half.

“I’m proud of the girls in the second half and I wish we could get both halves put together,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said. “It was probably the best game of Allison Bottema’s career. She did a lot of the little things right.”
