On the morning of Feb. 19, 2016, Nic passed away at his home. He was 33 years old.

Nic was born in Austin, Minnesota, in Mower County on Dec. 15, 1982. He was the fourth child of Linda Lou (Tucker) and Glen William Pudenz.

He grew up in Rose Creek, Minnesota, where he spent his early childhood playing outside with friends with many visits to the family’s farm. The family moved to New Lisbon, Wisconsin, in September of 1989. He played sports, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the pool, playing videos games and other activities. He graduated from New Lisbon High School in 2001. He attended college for four years at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater where he majored in business management with an emphasis in technology. He met his wife, Erica Lyn Knauer while he completed an internship at SC Johnson. He got a job at Kerry Ingredients in Beloit, Wisconsin, where he worked. He was promoted to manager of ICT Site Services. They were married on Aug. 15, 2009, in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. His daughter Aubree was born on Sept. 17, 2012, and it was the proudest moment of his life.

Nic was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Bernice Pudenz, and his maternal grandfather, Ronald Tucker;

Nic is survived by his daughters: Aubree Nicole Pudenz, and Riley Jean Knauer; and his wife Erica Lyn Pudenz; his parents, Glen and Linda Pudenz; and his siblings: Kathleen (Ross) Larson, Gregory (Angie) Pudenz, and Janelle Pudenz; along with five nieces; his maternal grandmother, Janice Tucker; his in-laws, Milton and Karen Knauer; and his brother-in-law Milton Knauer. He had many friends and a large family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. The family prefers donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 420 Suszycki Dr., in Mauston, Wisconsin. Relatives and friends may call at the United Methodist Church on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Wendel Williams presiding. Online condolences available at www.harefuneralhome.com.
