Boys basketball: Packers cruise past Tigers, will finish 3rd in Big Nine

The Austin boys basketball didn’t have any trouble in Albert Lea as it beat the Tigers (1-23 overall, 1-21 Big Nine) 88-58 on the road Tuesday.
Both Gach had 21 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Packers (19-5 overall, 17-4 Big Nine). Austin forced 24 turnovers in the win.
The Packers have one conference game remaining at Owatonna Friday and they are a lock to finish in third place in the Big Nine behind JM and Red Wing.
