Boys basketball: Packers close out regular season with a win in Owatonna

The Austin boys basketball team closed out its regular season with a 67-41 win at Owatonna (14-12 overall, 11-11 Big Nine) Friday.
Both Gach had 17 points, four rebounds and five assists for the Packers (21-5 overall, 18-4 Big Nine).
“We played really well tonight. Probably on of our better start to finish performances of the year,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said. “I was really happy with the boys and I thought everybody played real well. They responded real well after a tough game Thursday night.”
Austin will open the Section 1AAA tournament in Packer Gym 7 p.m. Wednesday.
