Duplicate Bridge

Tournament results for Jan. 6, 2016, four tables played: First place, Eunice Mcaelis and Warren Behrends; second place: Ron Peters and Vandy Newman; third place:  Bud Higgins and Loren Cleland; fourth place: Gene Domino and Rick Stroup; fifth place: Dave Ring and Orrin Roisen.

Duplicate Bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. All Bridge players are welcome. Bring a partner and enjoy an afternoon of cards.

 Y’s Women

Y’s Women met Jan. 14 at the Cedars of Austin. Cathy Ehley, dementia counselor spoke and showed an interesting video on wellness, recreation and memory care. Members received a goody bag and we enjoyed dessert made by Chef Jack Irwin.

A short business meeting was conducted by president Marlys Dunlop with reports given by Donna Maas, secretary and Anita Ulwelling, treasurer.

The next meeting will be at 2 p.m., Feb. 11 at the Hormel Historic Home.  The program will be by Mary Kittelson, community service director at Worlein Funeral Home. She will speak on Stories Of Hope and Dealing With Grief.
