The Rebels (3-7 overall, 3-5 Three Rivers) have now won two of their last three games. On Monday, Gabby Smith had nine points and 10 rebounds and Sydney Bendtsen had 12 points, five assists and five steals.
“They’re a tough opponent and they’re always well coached,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said. “I think our perimeter defense did a pretty good job of getting their perimeter shooters out of sync. Gabby Smith played well in the paint for us and Kaysie Allen played well for us.”
