County board elects Glynn as 2016 chair; Gabrielson is vice chair

The Mower County board kicked off the new year by electing a new chair, setting committee appointments and officially setting 2016 appropriations to outside groups.
The board electedCommissioner Polly Glynn as 2016 chair and Commissioner Tim Gabrielson as 2016 vice chair.
The board also raised the Mower County Historical Society appropriation by $10,000 to $44,756 and set other appropriations.
Herald named legal publisher
The county board selected the Austin Daily Herald as the county’s legal publisher.
The board selected the LeRoy Independents and Meadow Area News as secondary papers.
The Herald is also the city of Austin’s legal publisher.
