Southland girls basketball team opens with a win over WK

The Southland girls basketball team opened its season on a strong note as it beat Wabasha-Kellogg (0-1 overall, 0-1 Three Rivers) 64-52 in Adams Tuesday.
The Rebels (1-0 overall, 1-0 Three Rivers) were led by Sydney Bendtsen, who had 24 points and 11 rebounds, and McKendry Kennedy had 16 points and eight steals.
“We got off to a pretty nice start. We had nice contributions from the entire team,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said.
