Lawrence E. Mayzlik, 67, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at his home.

He was born April 7, 1948, in Austin, Minnesota, to Eldred and Donna (Carlson) Mayzlik. Lawrence grew up in Austin. He lived in Faribault and Rochester for a time before moving back to Austin in 1980. He worked at Cedar Valley Services for many years. Lawrence had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, dining out, and spending time with his two great-nieces.
Survivors include his father Eldred Mayzlik of Austin, Minnesota; his sisters: Marilyn (Brian) Larson of Dover, Delaware, Janice (Stan) Frank of Medford, Minnesota; his brother James Mayzlik of Molalla, Oregon; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Mayzlik; and his brother David.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Dr. Stephen DeFor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Please direct memorials to the family of Lawrence Mayzlik.
