The Southland girls basketball team lost to Dover-Eyota (3-1 overall, 2-0 Three Rivers), which is ranked No. 8 in Class AA, by a score of 75-34 on the road Friday.

“They’ve got some real skilled bigs and we just didn’t have an answer for it.” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said.

The Rebels (1-1 overall, 1-1 Three Rivers) led 10-9 early when senior point guard Sydney Bendtsen left the game with an injury.
