Two Austin boys basketball players had a career-high scoring outburst as the Packers held off Winona 72-64 on the road Tuesday.

Austin sophomore Duoth Gach poured in 23 points and senior Jace Murray finished with 19 points in the win.

The Winhawks (1-8 overall, 1-7 Big Nine) had pulled to within 56-53, but the Packers (6-2 overall, 5-2 Big Nine) were able to pull away when Both Gach scored seven points in a row.
