BAXTER— The parents of an infant girl who died in a home day care are defending the care provider who has temporarily been shut down by state regulators.

Four-month-old Brooklynn Tramm died Oct. 22 after becoming unresponsive at the home day care in Baxter. The Minnesota Department of Human Services temporarily suspended the day care license while the death is investigated. DHS Inspector General Jerry Kerber says there were suggestions that all safe sleep practices were not followed.
