Hayfield sophomore Maggie Streightiff took one step closer to catching her older sister on Thursday.

Streightiff became the fourth Hayfield volleyball player to record her 1,000th career set assist as the Vikings lost to Kenyon-Wanamingo 25-14, 25-19, 25-19 in Kenyon Thursday.

Streightiff had 16 set assists Thursday and she now has two and a half years to catch the Hayfield assist record holder — her older sister Molly Streightiff, who had 1,821 career set assists.
