Saturday afternoon fire labeled suspicious

The cause of a late-afternoon fire Saturday is being labeled as suspicious by the Austin Fire Department and remains under investigation.
Austin firefighters responded to 207 First Avenue SW at around 4:50 p.m. where flames and smoke were reported. Firefighters found a small fire in the basement and quickly put it out.
There was minor damage to the house, but is still livable.
First Avenue was closed for a time from Fourth Street SW to First Avenue SW as firefighters responded.
