The Blooming Prairie volleyball team showed a little rust in game one, but it bounced back to beat Maple River (0-9 overall, 0-4 Gopher) in four games on the road Thursday.

The Awesome Blossoms hadn’t played in a week before they beat Maple River 19-25, 25-20, 25-11, 25-15.

“We’ve been working really hard on defense this week. We want to run to the ball and read off our hitters,” BP head coach Ranell Kittelson said. “Kylie Forstek stepped up in the back row for us and Lauren Larkoski made a lot of plays at the net.”

Larkoski finished with 17 kills and 14 digs for BP (7-12 overall, 3-4 Gopher).
