ALBERT LEA — An Austin woman was arrested for drunken driving after her car crashed into two other vehicles and a garage and landed on its roof Tuesday night on Garfield Avenue in Albert Lea.

Savannah Noelle Hartzog, 26, the driver of a 2012 Nissan Juke, was reportedly traveling north on Garfield Avenue at a high rate of speed, according to police.

She reportedly lost control of the car just north of Fairlane Terrace and then struck a 2003 Audi and a 2006 Chrysler.

She also reportedly struck a garage at 1313 Garfield Ave. Damage was sustained to the garage.

Hartzog, conscious after the crash, was arrested for first-degree driving while intoxicated and was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Police stated the Audi sustained severe damage to the rear, the Nissan was reported as a total loss and the Chrysler sustained moderate damage to the rear.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash was reported at 10:57 p.m.
