The Southland football team ran into a buzz saw when it faced off against Lewiston-Altura Friday.

The Cardinals (3-0 overall) had beaten their two previous opponents by a combined score of 101-7 and they took care of the Rebels 52-23.

“They’re big, they’re fast and they’re just good,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said.

The Rebels (2-1 overall) will look to rebound when they host Goodhue 7 p.m Friday.
