Miller gets hat trick as Bruins power past Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Austin Bruins went on a scoring frenzy in the third period as they blasted Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 8-0 in the NAHL Showcase in Blaine Wednesday.

Jade Miller completed a hat trick when he scored his third goal of the night during a scoring spurt that saw Austin (1-2 overall) tally four goals in a three minute stretch early in the third period.

Gilbert Gabor, who is from Stockholm, Sweden, had three assists, and Paul OConnor, who is from St. Peters, Missouri, had two goals and one assist for the Bruins. OConnor, who played with the Minnesota Magicians for the past two seasons, now has four points on the season.

Austin Smith, who is from Orland Park, Fla. stopped all 13 of the shots he saw to get his first NAHL shutout.
