“We’re still working, but we’re coming together as one,” Foster said. “We just need to keep up our momentum. If we keep up our momentum, we’re unstoppable.”

Foster, a sophomore at RCTC, and Bungum, a freshman at RCTC, grew up together and they competed in volleyball and basketball together at Hayfield for years. Bungum said she’s glad to be back on the same team as Foster.

“Being a senior and not playing with her [at Hayfield] last year was hard. It’s good to be back on the same team,” Bungum said.

RCC (3-4 overall, 3-3 MCAC South) was tied at 12-12 in the first game, but it wasn’t able to stay as close in the last two games.

“If we could’ve just had a little bit of fire we could’ve played better,” RCC head coach Michelle Ihnen said. “We were just so flat.”

Albert Lea grad Kassi Hardies had 11 kills and seven digs for RCC.

RCC stats: Kassi Hardies, 11 kills, 7 digs, 3 blocks; Hope Landsman, 7 kills; Shelby Quinn, 18 set assists, 2 aces; Shayla Berkner, 6 digs
