Austin (6-5-1 overall, 3-4-1 Big Nine) was able to hold off a late push by the Panthers (3-6-3 overall, 3-3-2 Big Nine) to force overtime and hold Century scoreless in overtime.

“We always want to score and win, but in these kind of games we need to play smart,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “To score a goal would’ve been fantastic, but to get a tie was the main thing.”

Austin was able to keep pace with the Panthers by using line changes to keep the team fresh. Camarena-Corzo said every player brings something to the table for Austin.
