Billie Weisgram, 97, of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Sacred Heart Care Center.

Vivillo (Billie) Bernice Weisgram was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Ipswich, South Dakota, to Robert W. and Dollie (Straub) Krucker. She attended country school until the eighth grade and graduated from Ipswich High School in 1935. She then attended business school in Fargo, North Dakota.

Billie was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Weisgram on June 9, 1943, in New York City, while Dick was serving in the Army. Billie and Dick moved to Austin after World War II, where they raised two sons.

Billie was an active member of Fellowship United Methodist Church. She worked at Sears on North Main in Austin for nearly a decade.

For several years, she was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening. Billie and Dick enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and wintered south during retirement. Billie especially loved spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dick in 2008; four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Donald (Martha) Weisgram, Madison Lake, Minnesota, and Stephen (Diane) Weisgram, Albert Lea, Minnesota; grandchildren: Amy (Matt) Engstrom, St. Paul, Minnesota, Gretchen (Adam) McPherson, Lakeway, Texas, Christopher (Erica) Weisgram, Plover, Wisconsin, and Michael Weisgram, Madison Lake, Minnesota, great-grandchildren: Jack and Anders Engstrom, Alexander and Benjamin Weisgram; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the mortuary for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials or donations to the charity of the donor’s choice.
