The Southland football team used a big play at the end of the first half to seize momentum and it went on to beat Kingsland (0-2 overall) 32-14 on the road Friday.

“It was a dog fight,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said. “I think we were overconfident, but we battled back and that was nice to see.”
