Austin police are looking for a male who robbed the Ankeny Mini Mart No. 1 gas station at gunpoint Monday night.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said a man walked into the gas station at 1205 Oakland Pl. SE just before 10 p.m. Monday and asked two employees to give him money inside a cash register. The employees, who were closing the store at the time, complied with the robber’s demands.

Police searched the area but could not find the suspect, who is described as a white male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, brown mask, black sunglasses and dark blue jeans.
