One person suffered non life-threatening injuries in a car/semi accident in Lyle Monday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports Megan Andrews, 20, of St. Ansgar, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin after she collided with Edward Schlichter, 63, of Austin at about 4:45 p.m.

Andrews drove southbound on Highway 218 in her 2001 Ford Focus while Schlichter traveled northbound in his 2001 semi, according to the state patrol. Both vehicles collided near Pine Street. Schlicter suffered no apparent injury.

The SUV was totaled in the crash, while the semi suffered serious damage.

Both drivers wore their seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol.
