ST. PAUL — A former Twin Cities-area high school tennis coach has received a six-year prison sentence for violating his probation by trying to contact a teenage girl he had sex with.
Twenty-eight-year-old Daniel Erik Hubbard Wilson of St. Paul pleaded guilty earlier this year to third-degree criminal sexual conduct. A criminal complaint says Wilson had sex with the girl in 2013 when she was 15. He was her personal coach and her school’s coach.
A judge ordered Wilson to spend a year in jail and 15 years on probation, and stayed a six-year prison sentence pending his compliance with probation terms.
