David W. Carlson, 54, passed away on May 24, 2015, in Houston, Texas.

David was born in Austin, Minnesota, on Aug. 15, 1960, and graduated from Austin High School. He attended college at the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin, Platteville.

David loved his pets, which he called his “fur-kids.” He and Betsy enjoyed doing many activities with their Saint Bernards, Willow, Whataberger and Flannigan, including showing and many pet events. He also adored his cats, Vellie, Hogan, Frosty and Rudy. David loved his chosen career as a construction manager and his legacy will live on through the many projects that he built across the country. David also was very at home on a golf course. He was a devoted, loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. He was cherished by so many and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Carl Carlson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betsy, Spring, Texas; his brother, Dan Carlson and wife, Nancy, of Houston, Texas; and sister, Patty Rosemurgy and husband, Stuart, of Austin, Texas; and nephews: Todd, Corey and wife Maggie.

A celebration of life will be held at David and Betsy’s home, date to be announced.
