“This year we received a number of excellent applications for our scholarship program,” said CRC’s president and CEO Chris Holt in a press release. “Although it’s always difficult to narrow the candidate field to six recipients, we believe the candidates chosen for this year’s scholarships represent not only high academic standards, but just as importantly a commitment to giving back to their school and their community.

In November 2014, students were invited to apply for a 2015 CRC scholarship in the communities in which CRC has offices: Austin, Dunlap, Tennessee, and Abilene, Texas. The scholarship recipients were selected in May. In addition to the three Austin scholarship recipients, CRC awarded a $1,000 scholarship to one student in Dunlap and two students in Abilene.

When selecting each year’s scholarship recipients, CRC looks not only at the academic achievements of each applicant, but also his or her school and community involvement activities.
