Hinrichs

Terry was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 3, 1953. He was the first son born to Donald Clarence and Hazel Mae (Dailey) Hinrichs. Terry’s passion in life was music. He played a variety of instruments, including electric guitars, mandolin, violin, banjo, organs, keyboards, and acoustic guitars. In addition to playing music, he wrote his own music. Terry was always part of a band, dating back to his younger years when he had a basement band. He had many friends that he jammed with, which kept him close to his music. He was also able to pass his love of music on to his family, and teach his nephews how to play the drums and guitar. He played in many bands, including Back Yard Basement Band and Single Digit. He was a butcher by trade and did that for many years before working for Streaters, where he made many friends. Terry loved the outdoors and spending time fishing. He was an avid Vikings fan. He loved playing pool. Terry was great joke teller and could make anyone smile with his humor. Terry also served his country in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his daughters: Shawn (Jason Hultman) Hinrichs and Crystal (Chet Johnson) Hinrichs; along with five grandchildren: Alec, Dylan and Ashley Reinartz, Taylor Hinrichs and Jayden Nelson. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: William Czmowski of Hartland, Minnesota, Debra Hinrichs of Kenyon, Minnesota, Donald (Dawn) Hinrichs of Brook Park, Minnesota, Nancy Fraser of New Brighton, Minnesota, Joseph Hinrichs of Portage, Wisconsin, Sherry (Jeff) Pulsipher of New Brighton, Minnesota; along with many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; his music friends; his friends at Streaters; his friends in Hartland; his special friend Naomi Wagness; and all those that knew Terry at any time in his life. He was larger than life and made a lasting impression on those he met during his lifetime.
