The Hayfield softball team edged out Rochester Lourdes (7-9 overall) 3-2 in Hayfield Wednesday.

The Vikings scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning when Bhrett Zahnle scored from first base on a pair of throwing errors by Lourdes.

Jackie Sanvick allowed just three hits and one earned run to get the win for the Vikings (15-4 overall).

The game was originally scheduled for Thursday, but it was moved to Wednesday due to weather concerns. The Vikings will close their regular season at Glenville-Emmons 4:30 p.m. Friday.
