The top-seeded Hayfield softball team knocked off No. 8 Southland (3-17 overall) 10-0 in five innings in a Section 1A West quarterfinal game in Hayfield Monday.

Jackie Sanvick allowed just one hit in a shutout win for the Vikings (17-4 overall).

Hayfield will now play No. 4 Randolph in a subsection semifinal game in Hayfield Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
