The Hayfield baseball team beat Goodhue (3-11 overall) 8-0 on the road Monday.

Sophomore Adam Fjerstad struck out six and allowed just two hits to get the shutout for the Vikings (8-3 overall).

“Adam did a great job of throwing strikes and mixing speeds,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said. “He pitches beyond his years and he is wise on the mound.”
