The school board approved changes in the district’s budget Monday to meet changing needs, as the district will add more special education staff in response to that population of students growing.

Finance and operations director Mark Stotts called the changes routine.

“We make these changes throughout the year, and our year ends June 30, so always in the March, April timeframe we bring an amended budget to the board,” he said.

With the changes, Stotts expects the budget to be balanced by the end of the year.
