She was born in Austin, on Dec. 23, 1957, to Carol and Darrell Dotzenrod. Lisa attended school in Chatfield and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1976, and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in business in 1980. She married Robert Fisher in 1987, and worked in financial planning, spending most of her professional career working for Fisher Investments of San Mateo, California.

Lisa was an accomplished horsewoman, winning numerous awards at shows in Minnesota and at national competitions. Her real joy in life was her family. She especially loved watching the inline hockey games of her sons, Adam and Matthew. She attended as many tournament games as she could, until her health would no longer allow her to travel. Lisa touched the lives of everyone she met with her kind, generous nature and her fun-loving spirit.
