Kaye Frances Aug was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Preston, Minnesota, to Gustave and Anna (Sikkink) Aug. She went to school and graduated from Preston High School in 1956. She was involved in choir, Glee Club, class plays, student government, class officer, was a 4-H member, and drove tractor at harvest time. She worked in the healthcare system in Rochester and Grand Meadow for around 50 years. On Dec. 19, 1958, Kaye was united in marriage to Doug Minnich at the Greenleafton Church. In 1968, they moved to Grand Meadow and purchased Doug’s family home where they raised their family and still live today. Kaye loved to decorate for all of the holidays. Every Halloween she and best friend, Marie (Graves) Brown, dressed up and went out trick-or-treating. Kaye was fondly known as “Mama Kaye” by co-workers and those that knew and loved her. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Ella, family, friends, dancing with Doug, going on trips, casinos, playing bingo, and complimenting her outfits with a specially chosen hat. She was a member of the Red Hats of Meadow Manor. Kaye will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is at peace and pain free.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Doug of Grand Meadow, Minnesota; children: Saneita Ludemann of Rochester, Minnesota, Debra (Eric Shoop) Minnich of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, and Jay (Julie) Minnich of Stewartville, Minnesota; granddaughter, Ella Marie Minnich; step-grandchildren: Ethan Yost, Joe (Angie) Ludemann, Jennifer (Arda) Ozcan, and Kristen (Justin) Frana; four step-great-grandchildren; two grand-puppy-sons: Hawk-Eye and Rocky; brother, Richard (Carol) Aug of Rochester, Minnesota; twin sister, Faye Alden of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
