Junior M. Sleezer, 92, of Claremont, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon at Golden Living East in Rochester, Minnesota.

Junior was born on June 1, 1922, in Cherokee, Iowa. He grew in Cherokee and attended school there. On May 28, 1942, Junior was married to Maxine Felton in South Sioux City, Nebraska. To this union three sons were born. They later divorced. He served his country in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 where he was stationed in Central Europe. Junior worked as a custodian at the Olmsted County courthouse for many years and retired from there. He was a member of the Odd Fellow and Order of Demolay. Fishing was his favorite pastime.

Survivors include his three sons: Dennis Sleezer of Texas, Freddie Sleezer of Texas, and Marty of Idaho; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one young daughter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Worlein Funeral Home Austin, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Military honors conducted by American Legion Post No. 91. Interment at Blooming Prairie Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com. Blessed be his memory.
