The Hayfield softball team had its bats going full force as it blasted Lake City (0-2 overall, 0-2 HVL) 31-1 in five innings in Hayfield Thursday.

Freshman Kyal Heydt hit a grand slam in her first at bat for the Vikings (1-1 overall, 1-1 HVL) and she finished the game by going 4-for-6 with three homers and 10 RBIs.

Senior Kayla Johnson also homered for the Vikings.
