One of Austin’s most popular bars is going to offer a better view in just a few months.

Torge’s Live is adding a three-season pavilion over the next few months, along with a new lunch and dinner menu.

“Nobody else in Austin has anything like this, and we always try to stay in the forefront,” Chelsey Walerak, assistant general manager at Torge’s said. “As far as patios in Austin, there’s really not a whole lot of choices.”

Construction began on Feb. 9 and is scheduled to wrap up in May. The new pavilion will have a roof, seven TVs, seating for 60, a grand double-sided fireplace and ceiling heat, among other things. Walerak said there will also be smoking sections in unroofed areas of the pavilion.

Torge’s will launch a soft opening of the new pavilion in May and a grand opening in June.
