Austin’s Zonta Club is seeking nominations for its Women of Achievement Award, which will be given at a dinner in March.
The Zonta Club of Austin is looking to the community to nominate women in Mower County to be candidates for our Woman of Achievement Dinner on March 23 at Holiday Inn Conference Center.
For the last three years women have been nominated by family, friends or work colleagues for this honor. Jeanne Sheehan, Elaine Hansen and Gayle Dennison have been the past award winners.
Nominate a special person who goes above and beyond to help out in a way that no one else does. Contact Sara Falk at 507-434-8537 for a form or go to www.zontaclubofaustinmn.org and print the form.
All candidates will be recognized at the dinner. The dinner is the Zonta Club’s fundraiser for scholarships offered each year. The club honors two International scholarships: Young Women in Public Affairs and Jane M Klausman, a Zonta scholarship –the nontraditional scholarship at Riverland Community College and GED scholarships. Nominations will be accepted through Jan. 9.
