The Austin wrestling team beat Rochester Mayo 36-35 and lost to Northfield 33-32 in a triangular in Northfield Friday.

Both duals ended in a tie and Austin won (11-8 overall) the dual against Mayo based on bonus points and it lost to Northfield based on bonus points.

Aiden Wilson, Kole Igou and Brandon Cotter all went 2-0 for the Packers.

“These were two hard fought duals,” Austin head wrestling coach Jer Osgood said. “The last couple weeks have been a grind both academically and physically on this team and their hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
