The Austin City Council will discuss its goals, as well as city administrator Craig Clark’s goals, for the year during its next meeting.
Council members will continue a 2015 goal setting session after their public meeting, which starts at 5:30 p.m. Monday inside City Council Chambers at 400 Fourth Ave. NE.
Among the various ideas for 2015 include attracting more businesses to Austin, getting more council members on Vision 2020 committees, finding ways to increase housing within the community, working with the city’s communities of color and refugee population, creating a citizens watch group and more.
The council will also discuss goals for Clark’s first six months on the job. The goals in Clark’s job description include participating more in Vision 2020-related projects and acting as the city’s spokesperson. Clark said at the last council meeting he welcomed the process and told the council the city’s goals were his goals as well.
