The Austin girls basketball team had a rough second half as it lost 61-37 at Rochester Mayo (12-4 overall, 10-3 Big Nine) Tuesday.
The Packers (7-10 overall, 5-8 Big Nine) were outscored 37-16 in the second half.
“We played a really good first half and the kids battled hard,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “That’s really the team we are. In the second half they were getting after it and we weren’t. They were the more aggressive, explosive team. Unfortunately all of the hard work we did in the first half was thrown out the window.”
