A Rose Creek man suffered non-life threatening injuries in a car accident Thursday when the hood of his 2000 Ford Mustang unlatched, flew back and broke his windshield.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports 49-year-old David Schwartz was traveling south on Highway 218, just a little north of Lyle, when his car hood became loose.

Schwarz was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin to treat his injuries.
