Police investigating early morning stabbing

One taken to Rochester
A 51-year-old Austin man was stabbed Friday morning at the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.
Police Lt. John Mueller said detectives are still investigating the stabbing, which took place around 4:45 a.m. The victim reportedly suffered one or two stab wounds to the torso and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, and ultimately to Mayo Clinic Hospital — St. Marys Campus in Rochester. His condition is unknown at this time.
Officers were called to the home on a report of an assault. Mueller said no arrests have been made thus far, but police are determining who was at the home at the time. Mueller said the stabbing wasn’t a domestic-related incident.
