Packers bowl perfect game at state meet

The Austin High School varsity bowling team finished in sixth place overall at the 24-team Minnesota High School State Tournament at Mermaid Lanes, in Mounds View Minnesota Dec. 6. the State Championship. The Pcakers made 227 fills out of 278 attempts for a fill percentage of 81%. In their next to last match the team made some history by throwing only the second 300 game in State Tournament history. The team was able to meet pro bowler Pete Weber. He made all day appearances at the Varsity and the JV State Tournaments. The JV team played in the State Tournament on Sunday Dec, 7. The JV team had a 67% fill rate on the day, although it didn't make it past the first round. -- Photo Provided
