Kay Mary Schocker, 82, of Asheville, North Carolina, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Aston Park Health Care Center.

A native of Austin, Minnesota, Kay was a daughter of the late Harry and Ida Tuftee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewaine Schocker, and daughter, Christine Maktabi.

Kay was a member of Unity Church.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Gordon, David Schocker, and Scott Schocker. Additionally, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and caretakers, Athena and Eric Silver, and Betsy and Dennis Silver.

A memorial service for Kay will be held at a later date.
