The Hayfield girls basketball team struggled to find offense as it lost 51-39 at Goodhue (7-1 overall) Tuesday.

The Vikings (7-3 overall) were led by Jo Bungum, who had 15 points, but their younger players had a tough time against a big Goodhue squad.

“They play a very good hard, man-to-man defense and the bottom line is they’re bigger, faster and stronger than we are,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said. “They’re a physical team.”
