The Grand Meadow boys basketball team opened its season with a 68-55 loss at Randolph (5-0 overall, 5-0 SEC) Tuesday.
The Superlarks (0-1 overall, 0-1 SEC) trailed by as many as 20 in the second half before they came back to tie the game. But the Rockets pulled away late in the game to put it away as GM was saddled with foul trouble.
“Our boys played through a lot of adversity tonight. It was a wild one to start the year,” GM head coach Bob Burmester said. “We’re definitely in football mode still.”
GM scoring: Terrell Rieken, 21; Michael Stejskal, 16; Landon Jacobson, 12; Connor King, 2; Trevor Sloan, 2; Cody Ojulu, 2
