The Southland football team kicked off some dust and played a throwback game as it racked up 452 yards in a 49-3 win in Kingsland (0-7 overall, 0-7 SFA Blue) Friday.

The Rebels had three 100-yard rushers in the win as Cole Erie had 178 yards and two TDs, Adam Koenigs had a 119 yards and a TD and Max Tapp had 102 yards and three TDs.

“It’s about time. It really looked like our teams of old. We put everything together. Kingsland was much bigger than us and their quarterback is good,” Southland Shawn Kennedy said. “I think this is the first time we’ve really put a complete game in two years. It was a nice win and we needed that.”
