Students from Lyle Public School are raising money for their junior/senior class trip this October by selling all sorts of treats and decorations.

Students in grades ninth through 12th are selling fruit and wreaths from now through Oct. 31 to raise money for the junior/senior class trip. The sale includes different kinds of fruit, nuts, cheeses, meats, wreathes and garland. Prices vary from around $6 to $34, with some higher prices on some of the larger items.

This year the students are headed to Washington, D.C. In the past, the students have gone for three to four days to places like Duluth, Kansas City and Chicago. This year’s trip will be extended a few days.

“There’ll be more educational value to the trip because of the historical [sites],” Lyle Public School Secretary Alison Retterath said.

The trip will take place in April of 2015, and takes place every two years for juniors and seniors.

To purchase, please contact the school at 507-325-2201. If a student didn’t get a packet and would like to sell, please let the office know. All profits will go to individual student’s junior/senior class trip.
